RACE 7 - 1600m
BRAVE MONARCH / SNITZEL DANCER / KILMAN
The Stradbroke Handicap might not be out of the question for BRAVE MONARCH after his impressive victory in the Daybreak Lover (1400m) at Eagle Farm last start. His frst run back was OK but he peaked on his run a little bit the last 100m and got there way too soon but kept going well. The BRAVE SMASH gelding broke his maiden at Doomben last October before proving too good for them over 1400m at Eagle Farm. Tough to the line winning over the same trip at the Sunny and ran right up to standard for Chris & Corey Munce in that Listed event. Classy young horse and it would pay to follow in here.
☆☆☆☆
SNITZEL DANCER'S victory in the Gr.3 James HB Carr Stakes (1400m) validated the confidence trainers Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou placed in the filly. QFollowing a series of disappointing performances at Warwick Farm at the outset of her campaign, she subsequently achieved a notable victory at Hawkesbury, prompting the team to target the Group 3. She has secured her position in the stable's Brisbane Winter Carnival team, with the Gr.1 Oaks identified as the primary objective, given their confidence in her ability to perform effectively at 2000m.
☆☆☆
KILMAN flew up the inside to win on debut at Warwick Farm for Chris Waller as a two-year-old over a year ago, but struggled in Group company throughout the spring. The beautifully bred SUPER SETH gelding chased home CROSSBOW resuming at Kensington followed by a a tough effort when nailed on the line in the Gr.3 Carbine Club (1600m) at Randwick, so currently racing well and will chase hard with room to move.

LADY OF CAMELOT / PRIVATE HARRY / PAYLINE
LADY OF CAMELOT will have two Brisbane carnival starts to convince connections she is ready for the demands of a Royal Ascot and appears primed for a comeback to racing. Adrian Bott and co-trainer Gai Waterhouse will then test Lady Of Camelot at Gr.1 level in the Doomben 10,000 before the mare's proposed trip to England is confirmed. The former Golden Slipper winner hasn't raced for more than a year but her two recent trials show she has retained her natural brilliance, particularly her most recent leading most of the way to win her Canterbury 900m heat.
☆☆☆☆
Chris Waller is lining up PRIVATE HARRY for bigger riches at the Queensland racing carnival and it all kicks off here for the son of HARRY ANGEL. Spelled for six months after coming across from Nathan Doyle to Waller and he seems very happy with his current condition. Won four in a row to begin his career before taking out the Gr.1 Galaxy (1100m) at Rosehill in March 2025. Battled resuming in The Shorts, then lame in the Gr.2 Premiere at Randwick before shifting stables. Quality sprinter with a strong fresh up record, so impossible to dismiss.
☆☆☆
Team Munce reports PAYLINE to be in peak condition following his recent performance, exhibiting considerable promise in upcoming events. His late surge to a third-place finish in the Gr.1 Doomben 10,000 last year displayed his true ability after coming off the ballot and jumped from barrier (13), so it was a top notch run by the SHOOTING TO WIN gelding. His dam SLOTS (Casino Prince) was a pretty gifted sprinter and her daughter resumed with a 3rd place over 1000m here following a 2nd in the Magic Millions Sprint at the Goldie in January.

DREAM ROCA / THE NEXT EPISODE / ITCHINTOGO
The Liam Birchley-trained DREAM ROCA hasn't raced since taking out the 2YO Karaka Millions at Ellerslie in late January, and the filly was brilliant up against a fine batch of Kiwi juveniles. Smashed then by six lengths on debut at the Sunny, followed by another stylish victory over 1000m here at Eagle Farm, and boy the EL ROCA filly went quick. Fresh up could be hard to hold out and might have bit on most of these bar one.
☆☆☆☆
THE NEXT EPISODE will jump a hot favourite in this for Ciaron Maher and the SNITZEL colt is brilliantly bred being out of tge well performed mare HUMMA HUMMA (Denman). The Next Episode won at his second run at Warwick Farm (1000m) after overcoming traffic woes, then reared at the gates but ran home powerfully to finish 2nd to BLUE DOOR with a massive effort. Trialed since and won up at Doomben to prepare so appears terribly hard to beat based on what we've witnessed.
☆☆☆
ITCHINTOGO, who was a $60,000 purchase at the 2025 March Yearling Sale was an easy 4.6 lengths winner of the Gold Nugget in January after winning at Doomben the run prior making his own luck. The SUN CITY gelding went forward in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast but couldn't go on with it before being put out for a break. Another who has won a recent Doomben jumpout, although this is a big task up against a couple of slick juveniles. Could fill.a place.

SO YOU ARE / BELVEDERE BOYS / DON DIEGO DE VEGA
The SO YOU THINK gelding SO YOU ARE will enjoy getting out in trip after a sound third placing at Doomben (1615m) last start and further is definitely better for the Stirling Osland trained stayer. Was going well this time last season, racing clear at Scone before placing at Doomben and Randwick. Dictated terms to win at Doomben coming back in the spring, then 2nd here in the Listed Queensland Cup (2400m) before taking in some rich Melbourne company. Could be a threat if allowed his own way early.
☆☆☆☆
BELVEDERE BOYS is expected to perform well, and there is a good reason for this as he is considered to be in a league of his own. His return at Eagle Farm two weeks ago over 1400m was impressive, as he closed nicely from the back without posing a threat to TEN DEEP. Being fitter, with an increased distance, and his inherent class, he will be a formidable competitor.
☆☆☆
Really interested to see how DON DIEGO DE VEGA rocks up here as he is a classy stayer at best but has shown little in the two runs back for Team Archibald. Regardless, these odds seem crazy after scoring a much-deserved victory in the Grafton Cup (2350m) last July, before running in challenging Group company in Sydney. Bold for 3rd in the Bendigo Cup (2400m) in Oct, then stuck to the task when 2nd to LITZDEEL over 2800m at Flemington. Probably would appreciate further but a big effort to place wouldn't be such a surprise.

CHARCOALS / SULTRY SIREN / GRAMMER LAD
If CHARCOALS starts here for Anthony and Sam Freedman then he has to be a royal chance of featuring for MyRacehorse. The TOO DARN HOT four-year-old gelding has carved out a sound record, winning 7 from 16 starts and has taken a few runs to come up this preparation. Only clear in the concluding stages at Kembla Grange followed by a tough effort 4th 6th up against CAPTAIN FURAI over 1400m at Rosehill and may be ready to offer up a definitive performance.
☆☆☆☆
Always been a fan of SULTRY SIREN who hasn’t exactly landed the kindest gate for this 1400m but has been running well this time in for little reward. The five-year-old SNITZEL mare finished 3rd over 1400m at here at Eagle Farm in Feb, then 3rd over 1350m at Doomben in March. Went forward and faded in the run home over 1400m here, although sure to be in sharper condition and Robert Heathcote should be happy with her even jumping from this wide barrier draw.
☆☆☆
GRAMMER LAD will be well supported in the last. This is a very successful period for trainer Kelly Schweida, and the horse certainly commands respect. He has secured two consecutive victories, with the most recent being three weeks ago over 1350m at Doomben, where he impressively overcame a challenging start to win. While this race presents a tougher challenge, it is difficult to fault his current racing form.
